Dachshund Sizes

Same neck measurement with a roomier chest, longer body, and shorter legs.
Back lengths: Medium 38cm, Large 40cm.
Medium fits most miniature dachshunds; Large suits chunkier minis or Standard dachshunds.

Other Sizes

Small – Small/toy breed puppies. Full-grown Chihuahuas, teacup breeds, puppy dachshunds, pugs, Jack Russells. 1.5–4kg approx.

Medium – Puppies/small breed puppies. Miniature dachshunds, small Shih Tzus. 3–5kg approx.

Large – Medium-breed puppies (French bulldogs under 4 months). Adult Jack Russell, Standard dachshunds. 5–8kg approx.

XLarge – Medium/large breed puppies (Frenchie, bulldog, spaniel under 6 months). Adult Pugs, Boston Terriers, medium Terriers, small Cavapoos, Spaniels, French Bulldogs. 8–11kg approx.

3XL – Medium and large adult breeds: Spaniels, small-medium Labradors, large French bulldogs, large cockapoos. 12–18kg approx.

If your dog falls between sizes or sits at the upper end of a chest measurement, size up. Chest measurement matters most.
